Acoustic Lining Systems

The tunnels through which vehicles (or trains) circulate produce excessive noise that cannot be absorbed due to the insulating capacity of their walls, resulting in the reflection of sound waves along them. To address this issue, it is essential to implement a noise-absorbing system. This is where the acoustic covering systems we design, manufacture, and install at INSAMETAL come into play, all of which are CE certified.

Our models are made of metal panels that are made of perforated profiled sheet in the place exposed to noise, along with rock wool inside for absorption and, sometimes, opaque profiled sheet on the other side.

Depending on the condition of the tunnel walls, one type or another is ideal.

Previous research work is key to determining which type is ideal for maximizing noise reduction.
