Vegetated Noise Barriers

The vegetated noise barrier allows greater respect for the environment since the composition of the screen allows it to be installed in urban environments with pedestrian traffic due to its attractiveness.

On some barriers, hydroseeding can be carried out so that plants can grow in the long term and the aesthetics of the screen improve.

INSA TERRA is the model that Insametal manufactures and assembles to be covered by climbing species that are planted and grow upward guided by the mesh. These panels are environmentally friendly, provide a unique aesthetic and also reduce road noise.

The only metal parts that make up this screen are the posts, the frames and the metal mesh that secures the structure. It usually has rock wool inside as the main protagonist of acoustic soundproofing.

The walls of said panel are made up of a layer of coconut fiber that is responsible for forming the climbing plants and vines that will cover the panel in the long term by hydroseeding.

Rock wool, in addition to its acoustic function, aims to retain water and facilitate the growth of vegetation through filtration. As an alternative to rock wool, stone or earth can be used, but it does not achieve the same quality of acoustic soundproofing as the previous material.

Our panels are easily assembled as they are divided into modules that fit into the HEA/HEB or HEAA steel metal profiles with IPE reinforcement. Steel can have treatments such as galvanized or thermo-lacquered that prevent corrosion due to humidity. The quality of the elements is S-275-JR or similar according to the EN 10025 standard.
