Vandal-proof Fencing

The installation of the fencings aims to guarantee protection and safety in overpasses where pedestrians could fall off or lose their objects.

These metallic fencings are designed with the purpose of bear long time duration in overpasses where it is installed. This fencing is composed of expanded metal and Pegaso’s metal sheets. This fencing reaches a height of 250 centimetres and a weight between 180 centimetres and 200 centimetres. The measures can be changed by the client.

They are exist three types of treatments:

Hot Galvanized according to UNE in ISO 1461:

The regulation defines the hot galvanized as the formation or zinc coating in steel. Steel is submerged in a 450º molten zinc bath that causes that zinc be stuck on steel surface.

The primary aim of this procedure consists in prevent the steel rusting and corrosion that could be caused by moisture and environment pollution.

Thermo-lacquer according to UNE in 15773:

It is a process that applies a powder covering in thin layers to metal prepared to be placed into an oven and bakes it.

The architectural quality of polyester powder allows giving the better characteristics for a clean process of powdering and provides to good tough with a better aesthetical.

Duplex System (Hot Galvanized + Thermo-lacquer according to UNE in 15773):

We apply both procedures sequentially. Hot galvanized and thermo-lacquer. It is based on apply polyester powder to galvanized surfaces when is required a better result in corrosion proofing or when seeking a better aesthetical.

This Vandal-proof fencing accomplishes with the last NAP of ADIF. These fencings increase more safety and can prevent vandal actions. For this reason, these fencings can count on different protection modules.

In this case, the fencing is composed of the following characteristics:

• Frame–Platen: 50×5 millimetres and angle 50×5 millimetres
• Expanded metal placed in upper part of the structure
• Pole of 80x60x5 millimetres
• Double frame with platen of 50×5 millimetres
• Pegaso’s steel sheet placed in lower part
