Curved Metallic Acoustic Barrier

Curved metal screens are the chosen by our customers as an excellent choice of screen appearance. Metallic elements represent the best qualities of strength and durability.

 

This material is efficient and cheaper than other alternatives to performing an acoustic solution in roads outside the town centre or in the same urban area.

The screen can make up of steel sheets or curved methacrylate. They have different thicknesses and the standard height is set to 2 meters. These panels usually have some curved metal beams that will be different according to the height and width measurements according to the project.

 

The absorbent face is oriented to the noise zone, which is designed with small perforations to absorb traffic noise while the other side is flat and deals only with isolating noise.

 

These panels content rock wool and it is composed of soundproofing material with different thicknesses and densities, depending on what the customer wants

They are exist three types of treatments:

Hot Galvanized according to UNE in ISO 1461:

The regulation defines the hot galvanized as the formation or zinc coating in steel. Steel is submerged in a 450º molten zinc bath that causes that zinc be stuck on steel surface.

The primary aim of this procedure consists in prevent the steel rusting and corrosion that could be caused by moisture and environment pollution.

Thermo-lacquer according to UNE in 15773:

It is a process that applies a powder covering in thin layers to metal prepared to be placed into an oven and bakes it.

The architectural quality of polyester powder allows giving the better characteristics for a clean process of powdering and provides to good tough with a better aesthetical.

Duplex System (Hot Galvanized + Thermo-lacquer according to UNE in 15773):

We apply both procedures sequentially. Hot galvanized and thermo-lacquer. It is based on apply polyester powder to galvanized surfaces when is required a better result in corrosion proofing or when seeking a better aesthetical.

This acoustic panel consist in two sides that absorb and isolate from the noise. The panel is placed between HEA/HEB steel beams welded on an anchor plate. Steel profiles can be reinforced using HEAA beams with an IPE beam to get a toughness structure. The quality of these elements is S-275-JR or similar according to EN 10025 regulation.

 

Our curved panels, like traditional metal panels, are made quickly because of our factory is specialized in this material. They are tough to damages cause by environment and achieve good thermal and lifetime performance.

The anchoring of these beams to the foundation is achieved by bolts with different length, diameter and quality that change according to project results. The standard measures are usually 400x400x20mm.

 

We had studied this kind of panel to check if different sections of this panel are correct for wind gusts depending on location.

 

Calculations are carried out according to where these panels are placed and wind gusts strength.
