Bird anti-collision panel

We manufacture and install a bird anti-collision panels

Insametal manufacture, supply and install this kind of structural pipes to prevent birds collision against trains or vehicles. These panels are in zones where bird concentration could be an issue in vehicles transit.
These panels have not an acoustic function, but also have enclosure functions and prevent bird transit from installing this panel.

Technical Description

These panels provide an aesthetic and safety measures. The primary aim of these kinds of panels is preventing bird’s collision against vehicles and trains that could transit on their respective roads.

 

The system is composed of metallic panels or metallic sheets. Also can be tubular pipes to get the same safety function.

Composition

These panels are usually manufactured in metal, since it is the material which we have more resistance and it is cheaper than others

 

Besides, our clients can choose other materials as methacrylate or wooden with the same results.

Preparation and Treatments

They are exist three types of treatments:

Hot Galvanized according to UNE in ISO 1461:

The regulation defines the hot galvanized as the formation or zinc coating in steel. Steel is submerged in a 450º molten zinc bath that causes that zinc be stuck on steel surface.

The primary aim of this procedure consists in prevent the steel rusting and corrosion that could be caused by moisture and environment pollution.

Thermo-lacquer according to UNE in 15773:

It is a process that applies a powder covering in thin layers to metal prepared to be placed into an oven and bakes it.

The architectural quality of polyester powder allows giving the better characteristics for a clean process of powdering and provides to good tough with a better aesthetical.

Duplex System (Hot Galvanized + Thermo-lacquer according to UNE in 15773):

We apply both procedures sequentially. Hot galvanized and thermo-lacquer. It is based on apply polyester powder to galvanized surfaces when is required a better result in corrosion proofing or when seeking a better aesthetical.

Features and Purpose

The steel quality is S275JR according UNE 10025. Beams usually are HEA/HEB placed vertically between metal panels which have not acoustic properties.

 

Besides, these beams have distinct designs stand out pipes which end is normally sharp to prevent birds landing.

 

We can incorporate a railing composed of vertical pipes with a lower height to pedestrians transit.

Assembly

The assembly procedures for the beams comprise placing screws with a length, diameter and quality that will depend on the material used by the client in the project.

 

The panel structure is 2 meters high and its structure is tubular. The structure made by rail varies between 2 and 5 meters in height.
